Chapter 13 is edited… and I’m effing tired of editing.
So tired that I actually went and scrubbed my bathtub. Yup, that tired of it. But I’m back at Chapter 14 because goodness knows I’ve got a ton of editing left to do on this story and hey, I do want to get it published someday.
…though I think I’m gonna stop for a Ben & Jerry’s Strawberry...

Chapter 12 has been edited!
Despite grumpy growly thoughts at my editor for telling me to rewrite the entire first half of the book when I’ve already rewritten the first half of the book. *sigh!*
Chapter 13 has a new header section.
See, that’s the chapter where the POV shifted for the first time and my editor had a very valid point that um, hey, where the heck did these guys come from? Framing shot please!

I really think editors like that are asses. If that’s what he wanted, he should have handed it off to someone whose actual job it is to do tedious things like that; it is a stylistic bias of his, not any sort of absolute rule.

If there is anything more tedious than editing an entire novel to replace single quotes with double quotes for all thoughts, I don’t know what it is.
Made harder by the fact that they’re straight quotes, which is exactly the same as apostrophes and thus I couldn’t do a blanket search and replace.

Now to get back to actual editing instead of beating my brains...

Well, yesterday was a complete and total waste.
See, I woke up around 6:00 (very early for a Sunday for me) and rolled right back over and went back to sleep. Hubby got up around 8:00. I stayed in bed. Woke up around 9:30-9:45.
