Well, I’m saying it. Ow.
Yesterday my hubby came home and, despite being massively jet-lagged from a week in Japan, he cleaned off the kitchen counter so that I could set up my sewing machine.
You see, I have a quilt that I made in junior college mublety-years ago and the pieced front was falling apart. Certain pieces of fabric had raveled away so that the stitching gave way.
And I had a bunch of Hawaiian fabric I bought on trips to Hawaii. I figured I’d combine the two, make a super-quick barely pieced cover and attach it to my quilt. A little stitching to stabilize it and presto! Quilt is saved!
Yeah, wrestling with that damn quilt yesterday has made my back and arms, and legs since I was sewing perched on a tall stool at the counter instead of in a proper chair, HURT.
So ow.
But it’s almost done. Tonight I’ll finish the edging and it’ll be done. The cover got stitched a little wonky on one side and the backing is crumpled and messed up in places but it’s a quilt just for me so I don’t give a damn. *nods*
Still ow.
