*Is Proud*

Whew! I’ve finished the total rewrite of City of the Ladies after three days of effort. :D

It went from 2700 words to 10,300 words so far. *boggles*

There was a lot of stuff in the background that I didn’t spell out the first time and that needed to be developed this time. I’m happy with it so far but I’m going to need someone to beta it for me. Possibly a couple of somebodies, actually.

First, I need someone to do a Reader’s Beta, by which I mean reading it over and letting me know what worked, what didn’t, where their attention wandered and where they really read eagerly. The squee and the boo, you know? As well as if it’s even worth putting out with a price tag attached. It’s pretty low drama overall so I’m kind of worried that it’ll be boring. (Yes, I have a thing about exciting dramatic stories even though I know not everyone prefers that sort of story.)

Then, after I revise it based on the first round of feedback I’ll need someone to go over the grammar and punctuation for me. Lord knows that commas remain one of my biggest bugaboos. :|

As my goal is to make this the first ebook I offer for sale through Smashwords/Amazon, I kind of want to do an extra good job on it. (Though I’m about to get off the computer and head to bed so it would be tomorrow before I could send it to anyone anyway.)

So… *hopeful look* Anyone interested in giving me a beta on this story?

  1. sassyladythegeek answered: ME! Not sure how helpful I would be-you would prolly know if I’m what you need based on my comments. But I’m AWESOME at grammar/punctuation!
