There has been no new fiction since last week.

This makes me feel bad.

Well, sort of bad. Not really bad, just a little bit argh, why can I not find time? With mild waving of fists at the universe but they’re kind of half-hearted.

It’s not a really bad feeling honestly.

You see, I have a deadline on my novel.

Secrets of the Artificer Mages has to be done with the edits by July 15th. I have 11 chapters left. Weekends absolutely suck for writing though I have (maybe) gotten through my husband’s head that this is a real, live, actual deadline. Might be better this weekend. Doubt it though.

Thus I have 12 work days to finish the edits.

I fully expect that a couple of the chapters will need to be split. I might have to add 4 or 5 chapters to the end of the story, each of which will probably take a day to finish in addition to the existing chapters.

The deadline pressure is getting to me thus little to no new writing is happening. *sigh*

I will get new stuff up eventually but it’s got to wait until Secrets has been edited and sent off to my publisher. Sadly, it must wait.

(Even though the Daddy ‘verse and Alliance and IDIAFY are all eating at the back of my brain.)

Wish me luck!
